Snappo

Privacy policy

Effective August 14, 2026. This policy explains what Snappo collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

The short version

We do not sell or share your personal information for any reason.

Snappo is local-first. Captures, editable originals, annotation documents, and local history stay on your Mac. Snappo Cloud receives only the exports you deliberately choose to upload for managed sharing.

Infrastructure and authentication providers process limited information on our behalf only to operate Snappo. They are not permitted to use it for their own advertising.

Information we collect

When you create or use a cloud account, we may collect your email address, session and security metadata, and records needed to operate your account.

When you create a managed link, we store the export you selected and related metadata such as its filename, dimensions, file size, checksum, creation time, expiration, and revocation status.

Our infrastructure may process ordinary request information such as IP address, browser or device details, timestamps, and diagnostic logs for security, abuse prevention, reliability, and troubleshooting.

How we use information

We use information only to authenticate you, provide and revoke managed share links, enforce storage and security limits, prevent abuse, troubleshoot failures, communicate about the service, and maintain or improve Snappo.

We do not use your captures or exports to train advertising systems, build advertising profiles, or target ads. Snappo does not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking pixels.

Service providers

Cloudflare provides network delivery, Worker execution, database, object-storage infrastructure, and email delivery used for one-time sign-in links.

We do not provide personal information to third parties for their own marketing, advertising, data brokerage, or unrelated commercial use.

Storage and retention

Managed exports remain stored until you revoke or delete them, they reach a configured expiration, or the account is closed. Account and authentication records are retained while needed to provide the service, meet security obligations, resolve disputes, and comply with law.

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted transport, private object storage, hashed session and OAuth credentials, scoped access, and revocable links. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

You can use Snappo locally without an account, choose whether to upload an export, revoke managed links, sign out, and request deletion of your cloud account and associated information.

Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete personal information. Because we do not sell or share personal information, there is no sale or advertising-sharing opt-out to exercise.

Children and changes

Snappo is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information so we can review and delete it.

We may update this policy as the service changes. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice when a change materially affects how personal information is handled.
