Snappo

Terms of service

Effective August 14, 2026. These terms govern your use of Snappo and its optional cloud services.

Agreement

By accessing the Snappo website, creating an account, or using Snappo Cloud, you agree to these terms and our Privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the affected services.

You must be at least 13 years old and legally able to enter this agreement. If local law requires consent from a parent or guardian, you may use the service only with that consent.

What Snappo provides

Snappo is a native macOS app for capturing, recording, annotating, revisiting, and exporting visual work. Local capture and editing can be used without a cloud account.

Optional Snappo Cloud features let an account holder upload a chosen export and create a managed share link. Cloud features may be offered as a preview and may change before general release.

Accounts and security

You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your email address, device, and authentication credentials secure. Provide accurate information and notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.

Do not share session credentials, OAuth credentials, private access links, or other secrets in a way that creates unauthorized access. You are responsible for deciding who receives each managed share link.

Your content

You keep ownership of screenshots, recordings, annotations, exports, and other content you create. You must have the rights and permissions needed to capture, upload, and share that content.

When you upload an export, you give Snappo a limited permission to store, process, reproduce, and deliver it only as needed to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and provide the cloud sharing service. This permission ends when the content is deleted, subject to reasonable backup, security, and legal retention requirements.

Do not upload content that is illegal, infringes another person's rights, exposes information you are not permitted to share, or contains malware or harmful code.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse Snappo or interfere with other users. This includes attempting unauthorized access, probing or bypassing security controls, evading usage limits, disrupting infrastructure, impersonating others, automating abusive traffic, distributing malware, or using the service for unlawful activity.

We may investigate suspected misuse and take reasonable steps to protect users, the service, and third parties.

Cloud availability and storage

Cloud features depend on networks and third-party infrastructure and may occasionally be unavailable. We may add, change, limit, suspend, or discontinue features, including preview features.

You are responsible for keeping your own copies of important content. Snappo Cloud is a sharing service, not a guaranteed backup service. Managed links may stop working when they expire, are revoked, violate these terms, or are affected by account or service changes.

Paid features

If Snappo offers paid features, the price, billing period, trial terms, renewal behavior, cancellation process, and applicable limits will be shown before purchase. Taxes may apply. Except where required by law or stated at purchase, charges already incurred are not refundable.

Failure to pay may result in loss or suspension of paid cloud features. Local captures and editable documents stored on your Mac are not controlled by Snappo Cloud billing.

Snappo property

Snappo and its software, website, branding, documentation, and service technology are protected by intellectual-property laws. These terms do not transfer ownership of Snappo technology or branding to you.

You may not copy, sell, sublicense, or distribute Snappo except as allowed by applicable law or separate written license terms. These restrictions do not apply to content you own.

Third-party services

Snappo relies on Cloudflare for infrastructure and one-time sign-in email delivery. Your use of a third-party service may also be governed by that provider's terms. Snappo is not responsible for third-party services outside our control.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using Snappo at any time and may request deletion of your cloud account. We may limit or suspend access when reasonably necessary to address a terms violation, security risk, legal requirement, nonpayment, abuse, or harm to the service or others.

Terms that by their nature should continue after termination—including ownership, disclaimers, and limitations of liability—remain in effect.

Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Snappo is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, permanent availability of a share link, or that the service will meet every requirement. Nothing in these terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Snappo is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from use of the service.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Our responsibility remains limited only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Snappo changes. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice when required. Continued use after revised terms take effect means you accept the revised terms.
